An interview with Dr.G.Vijaya Kumar on impact of Aarogyasri on public health system

MASS PROTEST AGAINST LEATHER INDUSTRY AT KOTHAPATNAM,KOTA MANDAL,NELLORE
The
organisations demanded that the proposed leather complex not be allowed to come
up at the proposed site as it would cause pollution make it difficult for the
lives of the local people in and around the six villages.
Among the
protesters were leaders of Jana Vignana Vedika, CPI (M), Andhra Pradesh
Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC), SC ST Land Protection Committee, Kulanirmulana
Porata Samithi.,YSRC,
They deplored
that the leather complex would affect people living in Kothapatnam,
Govindpalli, Govindpallipalem, Vavillajaruvu, Siddhavaram and Srinivasa Satram. Amidst strong
protests by local people and various organisations, officials conducted the
public hearing regarding the construction of Krishnapatnam International
Leather Complex Pvt. Ltd. (KILCPL) at Kothapatnam in Kota mandal of Nellore

PROTEST AGAINST LEATHER INDUSTRY IN NELLORE DISTRICT
Jana Vignana Vedika-Nellore unit participated in people's protest against the public hearing of constructing leather Industry in Kota mandal. Six villages may be devastated due to this industry.
There were some tense moments as nearly thousands of protesters tried to confront officials and police officers which led to some heated arguments. At one point, the protesters flung chappals, chilli powder and sand on the officials to disrupt the public hearing. Expecting trouble, the district administration had made elaborate security arrangements with over 300 policemen stationed at the venue.

Open Ltter to Dr.V.Brahma Reddy,JVV founder member
Jana
Vignana Vedika was established in 1988 in Tummalapalli Kalakshetram,vijayawada
on February on February28 ie. National Science day.
Dr.V.Brahmareddy,Dr.K.Vijayakumar and V.Llakshman Reddy work hard to establish
this organisation. All are mainly members or sympathisers of leftist party in
Adhra Pradesh. They established this organisation to promote Scientific
Temper among the masses and it's main fields are Education and Medical. They
want to educate the masses for a society where there is no exploitation and
equal opportunities for all without any discrimination. They affirmed
ideological accountability. Later that leftist party want to control the
organisation totalitarion manner after anti-Arrak movement which began in
Nellore district. A division surfaced. Those who are willing to that leftist
party formed their wing. Others with prolonged discussion decided not affiliate
this organisation to any political party and work among the masses. After some
period some office bearers want to sail with the Praja Rajyam party formed by
Chiranjivi a Film actor. After the dis illusionment, they came back. But after
establishment of YSR Congress Party, they want again to sail with that party
which is Status Quoist party. After ideological struggle, five membrs of 30
members of state secretariot left the organisation and began desruptive
activities. Now they formed their organisation "Dr.V.Brahma Reddy's Jana
Vignana Vedika(not affiliated to any political party). Koya Venkateswarlu,
District Secretary of Krishna district wrote a "Open Letter to
V.Brahmareddy on ideological and organisational issues and emailed to many of
prominent JVV leaders , cadres and prominent persons who work in ideological
field to wage struggle against deviations. All are requested to participate in

JANA VIGNANA SILVER JUBILEE PROGRAMME AT VIJAYAWADA ON 28.02.2013

Jana Vignana Vedika Silver Jubilee State conference second day delegates session conducted on 24.12.2012 in A. mbedkar Bhavan,Lower Tank bund road,Hyderabad. N.Narayana acting General Secretary had submitted report to the conference. All district Secretaries had presented their views on Secretary report.Prof.Chenna Basavaiah,Prof.V.Krishna,Dr.L.Muralidhar,G.Kondala Rao CE VMC,C.A.Prasad addressed the delegates. Dr.K.Vijayakumar addressed the delegates and explained JVV philosophy. New Body was elected with Prof.V.Krishna as president, K.Rama Raju as working presidentGali Srinivasulu as General Secretary, Kondal Reddy as treasurer. K.jagga Rao,Koya Venkateswarlu,S.Ravi Kishore,etc.,as Vice Presidents and D.Buchibabu,K.Satyanarayana etc as Secretaries were elected. Dr.Muralidhar as Environmental sub committee conveor, Dr.Muvva Rama Rao as Health sub committe convenor, Dr.Suresh Babu as Technology Sub committee convenor elected.
