MASS PROTEST AGAINST LEATHER INDUSTRY AT KOTHAPATNAM,KOTA MANDAL,NELLORE

The organisations demanded that the proposed leather complex not be allowed to come up at the proposed site as it would cause pollution make it difficult for the lives of the local people in and around the six villages.

Among the protesters were leaders of Jana Vignana Vedika, CPI (M), Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC), SC ST Land Protection Committee, Kulanirmulana Porata Samithi.,YSRC,

They deplored that the leather complex would affect people living in Kothapatnam, Govindpalli, Govindpallipalem, Vavillajaruvu, Siddhavaram and Srinivasa Satram. Amidst strong protests by local people and various organisations, officials conducted the public hearing regarding the construction of Krishnapatnam International Leather Complex Pvt. Ltd. PROTEST AGAINST LEATHER INDUSTRY IN NELLORE DISTRICT

Jana Vignana Vedika-Nellore unit participated in people's protest against the public hearing of constructing leather Industry in Kota mandal. Six villages may be devastated due to this industry.
There were some tense moments as nearly thousands of protesters tried to confront officials and police officers which led to some heated arguments. At one point, the protesters flung chappals, chilli powder and sand on the officials to disrupt the public hearing. Expecting trouble, the district administration had made elaborate security arrangements with over 300 policemen stationed at the venue.

JVV SILVER JUBILI CULTURAL PROGRAMMES IN TUMMALAPALLI KALAKSHETRAM,VIJAYAWADA 28.02.2013

JVV FELICITATIONS OF THE PERSONALITIES IN TUMMALAPALLI KALAKSHETRAM,VIJAYAWADA 28.02.2013

JVV honoured the ordinary persons who played greater role in movements, in critical conditions at it's Silver Jubili celebrations at Vijayawada. The meeting was presided by Sri Rama Raju-working president -JVV. The leaders of Anti-Arrak movement-Nellore dubagunta Rosamma and Kondamma were shawlled with memntos. The Sewage workers of Kothapeta who struggled 3 days to make flown the drains in Vijayawada I town when it drowned with drained water. They were neglected by authorities after receding the floods. JVV SILVER JUBILI SCIENCE RALLY IN VIJAYAWADA CITY ON 28.02.2013

JVV conducted Science rally in Vijayawada with various items on Cool Drinks,Sigarettes etc. The rally was started at 3.30 PM with green flag shown by Dr.P.V.Ramana Murthy-President IMA-Vijayawada and went from Tummalapalli Kalakshetram>Old Busstand>Challapalli Bangala>Apsara Theatre>Lenin Center>Vijaya talkis>nakkala Raod,Civil Courts,>6 No.Bus route,Bandar Lock>Old Busstand>Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. JVV SILVER JUBILI MEETING IN TUMMALAPALLI KALAKSHETRAM,VIJAYAWADA 28.02.2013

JVV Silver Jubili celebrations were conducted in Tummalapalli Kalakshetram,Vijayawada on 28.02.2013 where it was formed 25 years ago.The National flag by Justice R.Murali, JVV flag by senior member Radhakrishna Murthy were hoisted. Reception committee secretary and Krishna District Secretary Koya Venkateswarlu invited the dignitaries to the dias. JVV president Prof.V.Krishna presided over the session. Dr.V.Ram Prasad,President -Reception Committee had given introductory words. Dr.K.Vijay Kumar-JVV founder member spoke on "25 years JVV long march". Chief guests Sri P.VijayBabu-Commissioner-RTI-AP and Prof.K.Viyyanna Rao-Vice chanceller-Acharya Nagarjuna University-Gunturu gave messages. Prof K.Viyyanna Raounveilled the book"Dasa marchina darshanikulu". Prof Katyayani Vidmahe spoke on "Women empowerment" and Sri S.R.Parimi on"Challenges of education system".
